TICKETS FOR U2′S date in Croke Park were snapped up like hot cakes when they went on sale earlier this month.
Rather predictably, many tickets have ended up for sale on ticket reselling websites for many multiples of the original price paid.
For instance, there are now 541 tickets listed on Seatwave with the cheapest tickets going for €298 and the most expensive going for an eye-watering €1,046.
But the most expensive ticket is a pitch standing ticket that’s being sold for €3,920 on Stubhub.
Isn’t that just terrible luck? Buying a U2 ticket only to find that you can’t attend and simply have to sell it on for nearly €4,000.
Many U2 fans took to social media to express outrage at tickets being resold earlier this month.
Fine Gael’s Noel Rock and Independent Stephen Donnelly are among the TDs to have spoken out on the need for anti-ticket touting legislation.
In the meantime, you might want to visit your Credit Union if you want to go to U2…
